Participation in Mértola’s Hunting Fair
18 October 2013 - 20 October 2013

In October 18 – 20, Mértola, the principal city of Hunting and one of the intervention areas of LIFE Habitat Lince Abutre in the Guadiana Valley, will host the IV Hunting Fair.

Promoted by Mértola’s municipality, this event intends to show the region’s hunting potential and increasingly attract more hunters. To this end, it has a very diverse program, including a forum on hunting, exhibitions, contests, demonstrations and sale of products related to hunting and tourism activities, wild boar hunting (montaria) and local gastronomy.

As usual, the National Association of Rural Landowners, Hunting and Biodiversity Management (ANPC – Associação Nacional de Proprietários Rurais, Gestão Cinegética e Biodiversidade), one of the partners of Habitat Lince Abutre LIFE project, will participate in this fair with a stand, where you can find more information on this association and this nature conservation project. Come and check the new disclosure materials of the project, available for all visitors, including a flyer on the danger of using poison, a problem that affects not only wild but also domesticated species, including hunting dogs. Discuss this and other issues with us and get to know the latest results of the project.
