Participation in the I Conference "Patrimonio Natural y Biodiversidad de Sierra Morena"
1 November 2013 - 3 November 2013

Invited by Iberus Médio Ambiente, Alfonso Godino, responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the conservation measures targeted at the Black Vulture under Habitat Lince Abutre LIFE project, will participate in the I Conference "Patrimonio Natural y Biodiversidad de Sierra Morena" (Natural Heritage and Biodiversity of Sierra Morena), that will take place in Aldeaquemada (Jaén) from November 1 to 3.

This meeting will comprise several talks, colloquiums, audiovisual thematic sessions, workshops and guided visits, and will be held in the Natural Park of Cascada de la Cimbarra. Located in the eastern limit of Sierra Morena, one of the richest places in natural heritage, diversity of flora, fauna and geology in Europe, this protected area is crossed by the River Guarrizas, creating a succession of beautiful cascades that confer it unique landscape and geological values, being a very prosperous area in terms of biodiversity, where well conserved oak woodlands and dense Mediterranean shrublands abound.

Alfonso Godino will make known to the participants of this conference the scavenger populations of what we can consider to be the Portuguese Sierra Morena – the Special Protection Area of Mourão-Moura-Barrancos, as well as the implemented measures for its conservation (the lecture will be held on November 2, 13h30).

If you have chance, do not miss this opportunity to get to know closely the unique natural heritage of Sierra Morena. Join us and participate in this Conference!
