The European Congress of Conservation Biology, organized every three years, is a prime location for presenting state-of-the-art conservation science, and for networking and interaction between researchers, conservation practitioners, policy-makers and students, among other. This 3rd edition, which took place in Glasgow (Scotland) from August 28^th to September 1^st, was no exception, attracting around 900 participants from all fields of the conservation world.
Two team members of the LIFE Project 'Habitat Lince Abutre' were present in this important meeting, which this year had as a theme "Conservation on the Edge", displaying two posters with some of the Project's results:

• ‘Protocol for the evaluation of sanitary status of domestic and wild fauna that share pathologies and potential habitat with the Iberian Lynx’ - presented by Pedro Melo, Direcção Geral de Veterinária
• ‘Selecting priority areas for implementing conservation measures for the Cinereous Vulture (Aegypius monachus) in Southeast Portugal’ - presented by Nuno Curado, Liga para a Protecção da Natureza

The poster presentation session, which took place on August 30^th, had a large affluence, and it was a good opportunity for explaining some of the Project's work to those interested. The exchange of ideas and experiences with other European and international conservationists was another great asset from this congress.
