On November 16, reporters from RTP (Portugal’s public service broadcasting television network) visited Garducho’s Biological Station, the headquarters of CEAI’s team of the project, where they had an opportunity to watch the monthly counts of necrophagous birds.
The reportage, which was displayed on the next day at the 6 o’clock evening show “Portugal em Directo” and that can be watched in full on the
website of this television channel, included a guided visit to the building with an explanation of its functionalities and enlightenment on the projects and studies that are being carried out there.
Pedro Lourenço, biologist of the LIFE Habitat Lince Abutre project, explained the goals, objectives, areas of intervention and ongoing actions of the project, while Marta Acácio, master’s student on Conservation Biology, gave her testimony as a volunteer in the counts of necrophagous birds and talked about her experience with the project.
