Students of the master degree of ‘Conservation Biology’ visit the project!
On March 27, students of the master degree of Conservation Biology of the University of Évora had the opportunity to visit one of the project’s areas of intervention, in the Moura/Barrancos pSCI. Through this visit, these students got to know better the main objectives of the project and one of Portugal’s most important areas of habitat for the Iberian lynx. In the field, while they were visiting some of the measures implemented by a previous LIFE Nature project, also addressed at restoring the Iberian lynx habitat, the students were lucky to watch an otter playing in the riverside. This observation proves the good conservation status of the area, as well as the ecological importance of the region to Portugal’s fauna.
