This year, to celebrate the Children’s Day, the Habitat Lince Abutre LIFE project created the drawing contest “Give life to Manchas and Bui”!
25 children with up to 11 years old participated in the contest! We received beautiful drawings from North to South Portugal (Peso da Régua, Matosinhos, Vila Nova de Gaia, Gafanha da Nazaré, Carcavelos, Monchique and São Bartolomeu de Messines), painted with colored pencils, crayons and gouache.
Some of them represent the habitat of the Iberian lynx and of the black vulture, others some threats that these species face in nature or even the work developed by Habitat Lince Abutre LIFE project for the protection of these species and its habitat.
The team of Habitat Lince Abutre LIFE project could only choose one winner…
… the drawing of Regina Isabel Martins de Sousa!
Regina is 8 years old and is from Peso da Régua, a region northern to the project’s intervention area.

Soon you will receive at your home a set of school materials from Habitat Lince Abutre LIFE project, including a backpack, a poster, a notebook, colored pencils, the book “The adventures of Manchas and Bui” and stickers!
