Result of the International Day of Vultures’ Contest
13 September 2013

This year, to celebrate the International Day of Vultures we carried out a drawing contest for children up to 11 years old!

We received 19 beautiful drawings from all over the country: Matosinhos, Porto, Coimbra, Mafra, Lisboa and São Brás de Alportel!

And the winner of the first stage of the contest, voted by the staff of Habitat Lince Abutre LIFE project, is …

Leonor Madalena!

Leonor is 9 years old and is from Matosinhos, a region northern to the project’s intervention area.
Congratulations Leonor!

Soon you will receive a set of school materials from Habitat Lince Abutre LIFE project, including a backpack, a poster, a notebook, colored pencils, the book “The adventures of Manchas and Bui” and stickers!

Drawing sent by Leonor
(Human: 'A Carcass! I’m going to take it!' / Sun: 'Poor Black Vulture, he stayed without food!')

If your drawing was not chosen one, do not be sad!
We will give you a second opportunity to win this challenge!

On this second phase of the contest, until September 20, we will let you choose a second winner, through Facebook, where all the drawings will be available for voting at the photo album “Concurso Dia International dos Abutres” (International Day of Vultures)!

How? It’s simple!
The drawing that gets the higher number of «Likes» at our Facebook page until September 20 1p.m. will also win the same price received by Leonor!
